John Corcoran or Corcorran, b ABT 1807
Posted by: Suzanne Corcorran Date: March 09, 1999 at 22:23:10

The story is that my great-great-great-grandfather was born (obviously Irish Catholic) John Corcoran in Ireland ABT 1807. When he married, he married a woman (Mary J. ) from Maryland who was a Protestant. Because of this he was disowned and had to change his name. He did so by adding the third R and making it Corcorran. If anyone has any information on a John Corcoran who seems to have either died or disappeared somewhere around (I am guessing) 1825, please contact me, as I am currently stuck. You can also visit the website at http://www.corcorran.com/ .
