Hello. I have info on this family. My information comes from two published Geneologies. (Alward and Keith)
Gideon Corey (born: 21 Mar 1757 in North Kingston, Rhode Island, USA. Died: 14 Jul 1823 in New Canaan, NB) He Married: Abigail CLARK (Born: 1766 in North Kingston, Rhode Island, USA. Died 29 Apr 1849 in New Canaan, NB)
Gideon and Abigail are parents of Elisha Clarke COREY (born 1784, died 1836 in New Canaan.) Elisha Clarke COREY married Bridget WRIGHT(Born 1785). Elisha and Bridget are parents of John Gideon COREY (born 21 Dec 1812, died 1890) John Gideon COREY married Martha Deborah CLARK (born 25 Feb 1814 died 1887. John and Martha are parents of Amos COREY (born 11 May 1846 died 1919) Amos married Sarah Elizabeth CLARK (born 18 sept 1847) Amos and Sarah are parents of Frank Gates COREY (born 23 aug 1882) Frank Gates COREY married Caroline Elizabeth GREENO in Amherst, Nova Scotia on 20 Oct 1909 Frank Gates Corey and Caroline Greeno are parents of your grandfather Russell Gates Corey.
Sorry to hear about your grandfather, I knew him, and grew up about 2 miles from his house. I'm actually related to your grandfather's wife Erma. Her father and my grandfather are brothers.
If you are looking for more detailed family history i know that their is a published Corey geneology. It may be in library?
