I married into the Core family in Louisiana but from info that I have gathered, they're "semi-prominent" in St. Tammany Parish, particularly the Folsom area. There was a book published on the Core/Willie/Bennett? families. Can't remember who or where. 1830 census records show a John and Jacob Core listed. I'm particularly interested in the line that goes back from the marriage of Ralph W. Core and Vertilee Blackwell. Doing this for my children. Any info would be appreciated.
