I was interested to find this page. My grandfather was John Core, who lived in Sistersville, WV about 1895-1942. He was adopted; his birth name was Hawkins. His adoptive father was Andrew Core. I don't know Andrew's wife's name. In Sistersville there is a football field named Core Field -- don't know which one that's for, if any.
