John W. & Birdie (Harrell) Core Family of AR, TX, OK & CA
I am Tommie J. (Harrell) Clayton and I’m looking for information on my great aunt and uncle’s family; this is what I know:
John W. Core was born in Arkansas Nov. 1872, parents unknown.
He married Birdie Harrell in Faulkner Co., AR, abt. 1898; she was the daughter of John Henry Harrell and Melissa C. Little of Faulkner Co., AR.
John & Birdie are found in the following census records:

Note: Walter W. & Lela (Hammer) Harrell and Bill & Ora Pearl (Harrell) Farnum, brother and sister of Birdie, were also living in Okfuskee Co., between 1907 and 1920. Mrs. Nancy Ann E. (Rosemond) Little, their grandmother, had died in this county about 1909; she had moved into OK after his husband, Elijah W. Little, died in AR after 1880.
Note: John W. Core died in OK before the 1930 census which listed Birdie Core as a widow with her children:
