HI Heda, Was looking at the Core forum and spotted your message. I think I can get you back one more generation.
Your John Core, Jr. born 26 June 1788 in Maryland, was a brother to our Christian Core, born 5 Jul 1795.
Their father was John Core, born in Stouchsburg, Berks Co., Pa. 7 Nov 1763. He died 15 Mar 1830 at Twin Twp., Ross Co., Ohio.
Their mother was Elizabeth Hartman, born 25 Feb. 1767. She died 30 Dec. 1840 in Ross Co., Ohio. They had 11 children. I have not been able to document anything furthur back but I think John Core, Sr.'s parents were Johannes Core (Kohr) and Eva Catharine Noacre (Noecker). I have no idea who were Elizabeth Hartman's parents.
