1. Same name does **not** = same person
2. Kindredkonnections, LDS-IGI, GEDCOMS posted on Ancestry.com, and so forth, are not (***not**) "records."They are whatever the author whomped together as their own conclusions or speculation.I would call them "assertions" rather than "information." The idiotic formats do not permit giving documentation or evidence for the conclusions, if indeed the author had any.LDS and the other site hosts and promulgators of wrong family stories do ****not*** check them for accuracy or truth.
3. Work backward from what you personally know. There are no reliable shortcuts, if you want a real ancestral account.Thegenealogical junk on the web is just going to be a distraction.Don't waste time with it when you can be putting resources into getting step-by-step documentation: death records, marriage records, land records, estate records including wills.
4.John Core son of Henry & Sarah/Salome (Barrickman/Baragmann) CORE married Anne Hatfield perhaps late 1806 and died in 1867 in Ross Co. OH, according to researcher Lori Schillig, who gave as source entries in a purported 'family bible;' the entries in this were compiled by an unknown person mainly from grave markers and from Henry Core's printed family record of which a copy is in his application file for a pension pursuant to Revolutionary War service.
5. I know nothing about the children of John and ?Anne Core.Ms. Schillig was working on the ancestry of her husband, whom she believed to be a descendant of Isaac, a brother of this John Core.
