The William Cordray born in MD 1796 who lived in Osage County, MO. married Nancy Elizabeth Madden. She is thought to be the daughter of John Madden who also moved from Ohio to MO. William & Nancy were married 1820 in Muskingham County,Ohio. William Cordray is my ancestor through his son, James Singleton Cordray who married Catherine Walker, a daughter of Samuel Walker and his wife Mary Griffin, early settlers in Osage County.
