Carolyn, Oh, my . . . when I posted that question and info from my mother, I assumed that she had done the Cordray research and linked our Cordrays back that far. Now that I'm working on the Cordray history, I've learned that she's making a leap that we cannot yet prove. Basically, she's found this reference to a Cordray in the Pendleton/Harrison KY area and is assuming that John must be the "father" of our Cordray tree. Frankly, we haven't yet made the connection that far back. Here's what we have so far (many sources unknown to me: William Cordray m. Margaret son William Reuben Cordray b. 1822 in Ohio (other siblings ???) William Reuben Cordray m. Elizabeth Thornsbury May 11, 1846, Pendleton Co., KY Eliza Jane Cordray b. Abt. 1846 Martha M. Cordray b. Abt. 1849 John William Cordray b. November 25, 1850 Reuben Samuel Cordray b. March 28, 1860 We have a few hundred of their descendants, but are seeking to trace where they came from. Wonder if they have the Delaware Cordray connection. . . Any connections to your Cordrays? Diana
