Melville COWDERY was b in MAY 1830 in Chester, Meigs Co, OH, father b. CONN, mother b. VA. He m. Elvira HANLIN of Harrison Twp, Gallia Co, OH in Meigs Co. in 1873, altho her name was listed as HANDLIN [incorrect]. They lived in Harrison Twp after their marriage. Their recorded children at the Court House in Gallipolis, Gallia Co, OH, are (1) Ida M., b. APR 1873; (2) Rosa Lee, b. MAR 1874; (3) Minnie M., b. 1876, all b. in Harrison Twp. Melville was involved in the Estate Settlement of Elvira's mother & father prior to 1880. This family was last found in the 1880 census living in Harrison Twp. I lost them after that time; they vanished! I have tried for years to relocate them in vain. Can anyone help me? I would be very grateful. Thank You!
