I recently purchased a home in Galveston which was built by Edmund J. Cordray in 1914.

I understand that he was a pharmacist in Galveston and had a drug store on Postoffice St. (Ave. E) in the 1500 block (at the corner of 15th St.) There are two homes which he built in 1914. He and his family lived in one house and rented the other. I understand that his daughter Florence moved into the rent house in the 1940's and lived there until the late 1980's.

I would also like to know more about the family. There is an old photo which we found in the attic that may or may not be the Cordrays?

Also, there is a medicine bottle that says "Edmund Cordray Pharmacist, Galveston, Texas" on it.

If you know anything else, I would appreciate any information.

Thanks
