My gg-grandfather was Christopher CORDES his folks were Johann and Metta Engel SCHROEDER. There children were: Jacob b. 3/20/1822, Christopher b. 12/21/1823, Peter b. 11/28/1825, and Anna Maria b. 1/7/1827. Christopher came over to Hamilton Co., Cincinnatti, Ohio in about 1867 with his son William who was only 3 years old b. 1/7/1864. They moved to Shiawassee County, Owosso, Michigan. Christopher married Dora Middlested there. He died there 1/25/1908. Christopher's children were William Edward b. 1/7/1964 as mentioned before, m. Anna Hubard and Elizabeth Harvey, Edward Cords(my g-grandfather)b. 5/1870,m. Augusta Schultz, August b. 1874, Mary b.1876, m. Edward Crook, Fredricke b. 1877, and Lena b. 1878. m. Fred Kurrle. Edward had my grandfather Colon Cords b.1/22/1897,m. Velma Voilet Little.
