Wish to find information on Johann William Cordes and Ida Remmers. The family sailed from Germany in 1883 settling in the Wilson settlement, west of Ashkum, Illinois. They had 6 children Jennie b. 1867, Jacob, Framer, Anna b. 1876, John b. 1880, Edward.
The only other information I have is that Johann died in 1916 and Ida died in 1931.
Were they from the Hanover area of Germany? I have very little information on descendants and none on the ancestors
