I am looking for parents, additional family, or origins of Christoph Cordes, b. August 15, 1828, in the state/territory of Hannover, Germany.
He married Maria Ficken, b. March 20, 1836, and had the following children:
Hermann, b. August 1850
Heinrich, b. April 4, 1865
Freidrich, b. July 4, 1868
Dorothea, b. 1871
Charles, b. Sept 3, 1874 (in the US)
Minnie, b. Nov 3, 1877 (in the US)
He, Maria, and their children arrived in the US on April 26, 1872 on the SS Weser from Bremen. They lived in Henry County, OH and most are burried in St. John Cemetery in Freedom Twp.
ANY information about Christoph's parents or where they may have lived in Germany would be GREATLY appreciated!
