My grandmother, Annie Katy Julia (Cordes) Tiemann was born and raised in Warrenton Texas. Her father was Frederick Gerhardt Cordes who arrived in the US in 1869 with his father Henry and mother Anna (Ott) Cordes. Gerhardt Cordes (Henry's father) apparently came to the US with them, but never became a citizen. Gerhardt, Henry and FG Cordes all came from Oldenburg, Germany. They are burried in a small cemetery near Warrenton Texas. A few other last items, apparently Henry had a second wife, Annie (Muller) Cordes and at least one brother possibly named Bernard. He could have had two other brothers and a sister. Also Frederick Gerhardt Cordes had 3 brothers and a sister, Bernard, Eilert, Herrmann and Helena. She married a John Koepke. Last, my Grandmother, Annie had one sister, Norma who married a Fred Hueske. FG's wife was Lucy (Lenert) Cordes. Don't know if any of this connects here, but would be interesed to hear from anyone if it does.
