I am looking for information on my Cordes ancestors. My ggg grandfather was George Heinrick Cordes -- born in 1818 in Hanover, Germany. He immigrated to the US (probably Charleston, SC) in 1848. He married Helene Gerdes (his second wife) in 1856, and died in Charleston, SC in 1895. His son (my gg grandfather was John Frederick Cordes -- born on January 16, 1859 and married Caroline Georgiana Ducker on April 17, 1888. John Frederick Cordes died on August 19, 1915 in Summerville, SC. His daughter (my great grandmother) was Caroline Georgiana Cordes -- born May 7, 1897 in Charleston, SC. She married Augustus Herbert Braid on April 24, 1918 in Summerville, SC. Caroline G. Cordes died on June 8, 1977 in Charleston, SC.

I would appreciate any information and would be happy to share anything I have on the Cordes.
