Hello Bea, So very nice to hear from you.
I will be glad to send you what I have.
Henry Vickery was born about 1785 in East Tennessee.
In the early 1800's he made a settlement in the Cherokee Nation and there he married about 1810, to Charlotte Cordery, born about 1793-94, fourth daughter of Thomas Cordery and Susanna Sonicooie.
Vickery enlisted in Capt. Alexander Sanders' company of volunteers in the military campaign against the "red Sticks"
He served in Col. Chambers' Regiment of Cherokee allies with his brother-in-law, John Rogers.
Like his father-in-law, Vickery registered a title "by
right of his wife" for a Cherokee reservation of 640 acres west of the Chattahoochee.
Sometime about 1820 Henry left Charlotte for her younger sister, Hetty Cordery.b.abt.1801, for his second wife.
He lived intermittently with both wives.
About 1830 Henry abandoned both and settled in a "gold mine" region, where he died intestate,on Jan.6,1831
In all, Henry sired 11 children
Eight by charlotte and three by Hetty.
Last child seems to be Susan vickery b. 1830.
This infirmation was obtained from the book-
"Unhallowed Intrusions", by Don L. Shadburn..
Mr Shadburn is a very kind and generous man.
I will be happy to share what I have on the Cordery family.
Carolyn Hill- cousin.
I am descended from Charlottes' younger sister,Susan Cordery and John Mosley.
