Here is the information I have in my database.
I got the information from the Rappahannock Historical Society. I still have the two letters packed up somewhere.
My great-great-great-grandmother Elmira (CORDER) GORDON
was the daughter of Coleman CORDER and wife, Margaret.
Coleman's father was James CORDER.
Coleman CORDER died near Woodville, Virginia.
Elmira was born about 1815 but I don't know where.
Elmira had two known sisters, Margaret and Jane.
James CORDER Sr. was born in Scotland. He died near Woodville, Virginia. I don't have the name of his wife yet.
I do have the names of his children.
Besides Coleman, there is William, John, George, Lawson,
James Jr. and, Joseph CORDER. The boys had one know sister and her name is Elizabeth. I have nothing else about the children. This is all I have on the CORDER Family.
I wold like to find out more about them and I would love to find out where Elmira is buried. She died before her
husband, James Marshall GORDON. My best guess is that Elmira died before 1868.
