I know just enough about my ggg to get me confuse. My grandfather was James(JIM) Elias Corder b. 10-16-1883, d. 10-1-1965, m to Ethel Graham. My great grandfather J.E. Corder, b.12-18-1812, d. 9-31-1889 m to Hattie Barton, whom was kin to the late Gov. Lurleen Wallace, as I was told. My gggrandfather was James Eber Corder, m. Elisabeth Tapp. He is the one that fought in the Civil War. There are several books on the Corders. Shawn speaks of Estelle Corder has a lot of information. My aunt and cousin gave her a lot on our line and sent to here for the Corder book she had printed. I was told there is a book titled "JAMES CORDER, THE VA. LINE SOLDIER". There is another book, "THE PICKENS COUNTY FAMILY HISTORY". James is a very popular name in our family. I names my son James also. enjoyed this very much. My aunt has a good bit of the history. We still live in the area where the Corders came to from South Carolina.I do know that My gggrandfather's brother died in the civil was and he raised his brother's three children. My gg also fought too. Really enjoyed this. Jimmy
