Corder Family Genealogy Forum

I found an ancestral file from the LDS familysearch.org website on James and Elizabeth (Tipton) Corder. Their family group record indicates that Hannah was born in 1816. in OH. There are two unknown children in this family. I am trying to locate Reuben Corder and Samuel Corder. Reuben was born abt. 1817-22 in VA, then migrated to OH. The Sam I am looking for was probably born before 1820. If the birthdates are wrong, perhaps they belong to this family.
I took an interest in this family because Armstead Corder was in Madison County in 1820, then moved to Logan County where the Strayer family lived. A Sam Corder was born in 1832 in Lucas County, OH (where the Strayers lived). In 1855 he married Catherine Strayer in Lucas Co. OH. Several Millers also married Strayers in OH.
In 1872 Sam and Elias Corder bought land at the patent office in Ionia, MI. The Strayers moved near Ionia. Does this jive with anything you know about the Corders?
Earlier you posted a query wanting to know more about John Corder, possible father of James. Two Johns migrated to Ohio. One family came around 1840 and settled in Coshocton Co. OH. The other family came around 1830 and settled in Auglaize County. James Corder, son of Joseph Corder settled near Circleville in Pickaway. The John Corder who settled in Auglaize was from Tazewell Co, VA. There was a Sam Corder in Tazewell Co., VA. Both John and James were sons of Joseph Corder born in Fauqueir County, VA. Let me know if you want to know more about these families. There's some good research on the families from Fauquier County. Those researchers also told me about the Tazewell family.
