Most of the information posted re: William Allen Corder comports with my research findings. However, there are a few points that differ. First, I have found nothing to suggest William Allen Corder's family every lived in SC. I realize this is information provided on the 1850 Shelby County, Texas, census, but I believe it is inaccurate. His parents were married in Caswell County, NC, and moved to Kentucky, where they lived in Clarke, Warren (later became Allen) and Madison counties. The latest documents generated by William Allen's father that I have located are in Madison County, KY. Among them, on 15 Dec 1807, he and Mary jointly gave permission for William Allen's half-sister, Nancy Morris, to marry Joseph Crews.
The Sarah A. you have listed as a daughter of Martha (Patsy) Stone and William Corder, who was living in the household in 1850 is Reuben's daughter, Mary Ann. She married Henry Brown. Apparently, her name was mis-transcribed. Reuben had a daughter and a son before he married Pamela Jane Hilton, about 1865, in Shelby Co., TX.
Minerva Adeline was the child born between William D. Corder and Thomas F.
Apparently, there are those researching the family of William Allen Corder who are not aware he left Shelby County about 1852, re-married, and died in Trinity County, Texas about 1856. His wife, at the time of death, was Keziah.
