As far as the Carthwright surname from the John & Gracy family line....
I have no further information as of yet. All I have are 'tales' that she was captured, headed north, possibly went over seas somewhere.
Nothing has ever been proven for the daughter of John & Gracy Corder who married Capt. Carthwright.
However, by the dates that someone else has put together and placed on the internet, they just put the two together without doing any math and really has taken alot of people in that direct with them since most of them gather information vs. researching it.
By the information that you supplied, it is rather obvious that this is not the same Elizabeth who was the daughter of John & Gracy Corder... but yet another Elizabeth who married a Cartwright that is yet to be proven.
Good luck in your research, but it's pretty obvious that she's not a CORDER at this point, but someone else's daughter.
