Thanks for answering my post! I've seen your messages many times and have been impressed with how much you know about these families. . .
Obviously, I'm just beginning the Corders and even though I've been working on the Cartwrights longer, there is so much to discover/correct. Much of my information came from the genealogy forum, family trees, etc., and as you know all of that needs to be proven or verified. Quite a large task!
My direct line relative is James Cartwright who was born 1773 in NC and died 1848 in Dade Co., GA. I believe his father to be Samuel Cartwright. Do you have any information that might confirm this in your files? I think he was married to Jane Thompson, daughter of Closs & Jane Jones Thompson.
Would appreciate it so much, if you have the time, if you could check your records and let me know if you think I am on the right track.
I'm big on primary sources or as close as I can get to that, and it sounds like you share that idea too. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Have been doing this for about 44+ years, but there is always more to do and to learn.
