Sharon,
Glad you enjoyed the letter, as for the name Pamela
I think Susanah made a couple of errors. She was elderly in1900 when the letter was written and her grandfather was
a young boy when the Indian attack occured. However she was
very factual about most of it considering it was a word of mouth family story and in 1900 it was 107 years after the
incident occured.
Hey keep in touch, I plan to visit Smith, Wilson
and Rutherford Counties in Tenn in about a month. hopefully
I will turn up some new info. I had to laugh with Furlong and Parks families we are somehow cousins twice over!!
