Rare copy of Corbin family genealogy located
Hello,
My name is Jeremy Rittenhouse; I am a volunteer who works on the annual used book sale at the Scottsville Free Library in Scottsville, NY.One of our donations this year is a copy of the Corbin Family Genealogy, which is about 100 years old and according to my Internet research, quite rare.It has a handsome binding with a leather spine, and the information-packed contents are in very good condition. This book is available online as a reprint-on-demand at a substantial price, but I have not been able to locate a single original copy available anywhere. It occurred to me that a member of the Corbin Family might be interested in purchasing this rare book.If anyone here knows of someone who might be interested, please respond to this message, and I will e-mail photos and detailed information about the book. Our sale is going to begin on Oct. 16th and the book will be offered to the public at that time, so if anyone might be interested, please reply soon. All proceeds from our sale go directly to benefit the library and its programs.(I hope this message doesn't violate the rule against advertisements.I personally have nothing to gain from this effort, other than the satisfaction of helping our library--and perhaps making someone happy through the acquisition of a rare record of their family history.)
Thanks!
