This Bible came from Ireland to Beaver Creek, in Old Orangeburg County, in 1762...The entries cover four pages and each page has double rows... The pages have so deteriated that but little can be read and all the outline double rows are gone. "Andra"

"James Sea wright dyed the 12 day of Dec. 1762 and was buried in the sea"
"Samuel P. Corbin was married the 15th day of March 1827"
"Mary Suusannah the daughter of Samuel P. and Caroline Corbin was born Apr. 1825."
"Charles and Margaret Rucker were married the 12th of ????"
"Elizabeth Corbin was born the 27th day of Dec. 1770"
"Sarah Corbin was born the 16th day of Feb. 1774"
"Ellender Corbin was born the 4th day of Sep. 1777"
"Margaret Rucker was born the 5th day of March 1804"
"Hannah Susannah Corbin died 18 June 1829"
"Mary C. wife of Rev. B.H. Graves died 22nd Feb. 1898 in her 69 year"
"Samuel Corbin was born the 14th of Feb. 1822 and the river was in a big freshet and the waters came up to the barn and crib doors"

This Corbin Bible was found in an abandoned home place, on Beaver Creek in what was Old Orangeburg County. But, now a part of Calhoun County, and was given to the Society.
The Corbin Bible is owned by the Calhoun County Historical Society, St. Matthews, South Carolina.
St. Matthew, S. C. is about ( 155 miles ) south, of the old Pendleton District now in Pickens County, where Peter Corbin and his Children were from.
I hope this helps shed some light on the other Peter Corbin, and the early Corbins of southern S.C.
