Hello Martha!

Felix rode with Terry's Rangers and

survived the war after many bloody

battles! I thought his brother,

(George Washington Corbell) fought

for the North but it was their

stepfather, Nancy Crenshaw's

2nd Husband who was the union

soldier. I have to go back

and review the last name, but

she only married twice, so that

is probably correct. Apparently

my ancestor (George Washington

Corbell) had Union sympathies,

to my surprise.

This was a family published

book done by Stella Corbell.

I was reading it at my sister's

in San Angelo about one month

ago.

What is fascinating is the same

thing happened on my Mother's

side of the family, (the Stephens

family) two brothers, one for the North

and one for the South. I believe

that they fell at Shiloh!
