Cathy - The person you seek could be James Coppin christened 30 Mar 1818, Saint Nicholas-Wesleyan Methodist, Colchester, Essex, England , the son of William Coppin and Lucy. It appears that this James had a twin called Henry. Other children of William and Lucy were:-
Samuel bp 6 Apr 1807
William bp. 8 Sep 1799
Mary Ann bp. 29 Nov 1801
Samuel Shorey bp. 19 may 1805
Eliza bp. 11 Jul 1810
Joseph bp. 22 Jul 1816.
