Hugh,
I have a Sheppard Thomas Coppin, a cordwainer. His son, William Edward Coppin was a mariner, born 1857 who married a widow, Elizabeth Emma Points in Harwich in 1883. Their son, Albert Sheppard Coppin, born in Harwich in 1892, was my grandfather.
