COP(P)ENBARGER, William, born abt 1775, married Elizabeth SNAVELY, settled in Wythe/Smyth Co. VA, died 1831. Children include: John, Mary (married Jacob KEGLEY), William, Catherine (all born before 1815), Phoebe, born 1815 (married Edmund TIBBS), Peter born 1816-1819, Betsy, born 1816-1819 (married George HEYDEN or HAYTER) and Jacob born abt 1820. William probably had a brother named Jacob and father or uncle Paul. Recent research indicates Paul Copenbarger (also spelled
Koppenberger) was in Northumberland County, PA from 1778-1781. Any information appreciated. Please respond via email.
