Hello,
I am a descendant of John Copp through Reuben, Francis, Charles and Clara Copp. Clara was my great-grandmother, and married William Terwilliger.
The 1850 US Census lists John and Sarah as being born in Rhode Island, but I can find no further information about when they were born or who their parents are. They moved to Tioga County (Covington TWP). Later on John and some of his children moved on, I believe to Minnesota, but Reuben stayed in Tioga, and that branch of the family stayed in the NY/PA border area of Tioga and Steuben (Corning) Counties for three more generations.
I've gone about as far back as I can from Naples, as far as I can tell.
I am also missing some inforomation about Reuben, Francis and Charles, specifically exact birth, death and marriage dates and places. I also do not know the last name of Francis' wife Polly.
Any and all information about this family will be much appreciated.
