I have found a family connection to Hiram Copley born abt 1799 in MA, wife Lucy children Lewis, Jane, Ellen, Lucy, Hiram H. and Alsomora.
Son Hiram H b 1842 (either MA or one census indicates CT )married Jane ____ (Also found as Jennie on one of the censuses). They had one son Lewis H born 1870 in MA.
Lewis H married Jeannette Hyde of Newark NJ abt 1892, they had a daughter Alsa in 1894 but were separated by 1900 census where both are found back home with their parents, he is MA , she in NJ and divorced by 1910 census. Lewis H remarried by 1920, a woman named Eva_______. It doesn't appear they had any children, possibly making Alsa his only child.
This is not the family that seems to have gone to Michigan, as they are appear on the Westfield, Hampden CO, MA censuses from 1850 through 1930.
This is the same Hiram H who has the Civil war record and Veterans schedule posted on Ancestry.com from MA
Anyone have a connection to this family? Will be happy to share information.
