coplan, john c, mar greene county, pa around 1860 to Rebecca Bosworth. Fought in Civil War. Buried in Laings, Monroe County, Ohio. Father Hiram Coplan, mother unknown.

Hiram's second wife, Rebbeca Ullom was my great grandfather's mother. According to family history, Rebecca was holding my g. grandfather (George Riley Coplan) when his mother was shot and killed in a feud over a cow.

George was later raised by John C. and Rebecca (Ullom) Coplan in Laings, Ohio.

Would like to know how George got from Kenova, WV where he was born to Kansas etc then back to Ohio. Did Hiram die? Did he remarry? How did John C. Coplan end up in Laings,Ohio and who was his mother? Also what happen to the sister of John C. Coplan (Couplan)
