The "Tilson Genealogy" by Mercer V. Tilson is featured on line and has a great deal on the Copenhaver ancestry. Samuel Copenhaver b. l814, son of Frederick Copenhaver and Eva Phillips (rootsweb research by Germanna) married Eliza A. Tilson (William H., Thomas, William, Stephen, Edmund, Ephraim, Edmond). Thomas married Rachel Tilson. Eliza and Rachel were sisters. This is a Mayflower line through the Tilson family. Eliza and Rachel are direct descendants of John Alden, PRiscilla Mullins, Richard Warren and Elder William Brewster. I descend from Lettica Tilson, Stephen, William, Stephen, Edmund, Ephraim, Edmond. Stephen Tilson, son of Edmund married Janet Murdock and it is through her ancestry that the Mayflower claim comes from. I became a member of the Mayflower Society through this line and so can the descendants of Samuel and Thomas Copenhaven. The Mayflower Society accepts the Tilson book as evidence. All you have to do is from the last ancestor of yours in the book connect your family through birth, death, and marriage records. Contact your local state Mayflower Society Historian and he or she will inform you of the steps you must take.Eliza and Saumel Copenhaver re on page 183 and Rachel and Thomas Copenhaver are on page 211.
