I have lots of info in the WV copenhavers. The earliest known is HENRY COPEHAVER was thought to be born about 1800 in Va. (Please know that West Virginia was a part of Virginia until the middle of the Civil War in 1863.) Henry Copenhaver's census records all state that he was born in Virginia. MAny citizens of West Virginia sided with the southern cause and therefore always stated that the were from VIRGINIA! HENRY COPENHAVER died in 1883. His first wife was MARY ELIZABETH BOGGS (born 9-1843 in Greenbrier Co., VA/W.) By Henry's first marriage he had the following children: Ann E. 1872, Matilda Catherine 1875, Leonard David 1879-1962, Moorman W. "Joe" 1880, & William Payton "Bill" 1883-1955.

HENRY COPENHAVER'S (1800-1883) second marriage to MARGARET "PEGGY" BOGGS includes the following children:
Francis B. (BOGGS) Copenhaver born in 4-1822 in VA married Matilda Harford/Hartford on 9-7-1842. He died on 2-15-1893.
George Washington Copenhaver was born on 8-15-1828. He married Eliza Jane Suttle. He died on 2-19-1852.
Eliza Jane Copenhaver was born in 1832. Her husband is unknown.
I have other info on the COPENHAVER FAMILY OF WV AND AM WILLING TO SHARE . PLEASE SHARE WITH ME.
