I am a decendant of Michael Koppenheffer (1733/1823) who served in the Revolutionary War in the Bethel township, Berks county, Militia. He was married to Eva Marie Batdorf and they had seven children as follows: MARTIN, Maria Elizabeth, Johannes, Maria Catharine, Michael, Frederick, and Eva Christina. I am decended from Martin (b.Mar. 6, 1760/d.Jan. 8, 1825) who married Susanna Arts and had seven children as follows: MICHAEL, John, Jacob, Frederick, Catharine, Elizabeth, and Susanna. This Michael (d. 1838) married Susanna Dreher (b. 1794) and also had seven children: Catharine, Henry, Daniel, SAMUEL, Angeline, George, and Susannah. Samuel (b. Mar.12, 1822/d. Nov.26, 1897) was married twice- (1) Lavina Kunselman- their children were:William Henry, John Jacob, Sarah, MARGARET ANN, Mary J., and Elizabeth Catharine. (2) Margaret A. Miller- their children were:Samuel J., George Washington, Torney Wilson, Charles Wesley, Calvin Monroe, and Amos M. - Margaret Ann married George Adam Shaffer (Schafer) on Mar.21, 1871. From here on, my line continues through the Shaffers (Schafer) and Heilmans. Does anyone have any further knowledge about this particular line or think they may be connected in some way? I would love to hear from you. (These are all Pennsylvania families)
