Clarence's parents were Joseph and Sarah Caroline Umberger Hedrick, Jr. Joseph's parents were Joseph and Sarah Catherine Umberger Hedrick, Sr. Joseph's parents were Rufus Jagalong and Virginia Jane Wilson Hedrick, Rufus' parents were Jacob and Susannah Smith Hedrick, and Jacob's parents were Peter and Anna Kincer Hedrick, Anna was Jacob's step-mother. Jacob had a brother named Joseph, he married Diana Creger, they are the parent's of Mandana Hedrick who married Joseph Samson Hounshell who are buried at Black Lick Cemetery.
