Need help locating documentation of parents and place of birth of Rachel Melissa Copenhaver. I believe her parents to be Francis Marion Copenhaver and Eunice Lydia Meek. However her death cert. lists Thomas Ransom Copenhaver and Melissa Cole as parents. I believe this to be in error, but have been unable to locate record of her birth which I thought was Smyth Co. Va. A request for birth record from that county was unsuccessful.
Rachel was born 30 Jan 1877. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. Thanks
