Susan, Your post is very interesting in that I have Willingham and Copeland lines from Anderson SC around 1800. Some Willinghams were in Alabama 1850/60 and some of my Copelands were in Ms near Al border around 1840 on. If you can provide a little more info, I might can determine if there is a connection. A fellow Willingham researcher can probably help more with that line. I have several folders on both Copelands and Willinghams.
