Hey Ryan!

Thanks for reply!

This BUXLEITNER thing has or may very well open up the "can of worms" about the TWO James Copelands living along the Tenn/Ala lines in early to mid 1800s

One was James who was born around 1792 in South Carolina and who married Catherine Gillis in Madison Co Ala in 1811 or 1812 and moved on up to Wayne Co, Tenn and died sometime after 1860

One was the son of Ricketts, son of Joseph, son of Nicholas. He was born around 1792 in or near Jefferson co, Tenn

His marriages are a bit unclear

May have married in eastern Tenn the first time and most of his children were born there from about 1811 onward...

This was probably the Buxleitner? lady

WHO his wives were though, is quite Unclear though some even say HE married Catherine GILLIS!!!!!

No.

This James married a second or third time in Lowndes Co, Mississippi and many of his descendants came down to Leon Co, Tx in 1850s... Lots of room for confusion. I am only an ARMCHAIR researcher and have been wrong more than once just on the Copelands but I think I may have these two gentlemen fairly straight.

THANKS again for reply

brown,john
