Obituary: Calvin Copeland - Nacogdoches Co. TX.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas--Calvin Copeland, 81, of Nacogdoches died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Nacogdoches.
Mr. Copeland was born June 17, 1919, in Nacogdoches. He was a retired electrician for Cotton Belt Railroad, a Methodist, member of Shrine Hella Temple, Garland, Texas, and Border Masonic Lodge 672, Texarkana, and lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3893.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Copeland of Nacogdoches; one son, Ron Copeland of Little Rock; three daughters, Pat Rucker of Philadelphia, Gelca Clem of Houston and Rebecca Porterfield of Longview, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Sunset Memorial Park with Milam Masonic Lodge officiating. Burial will be under direction of Laird McGill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
