Yes, my George Cope actually married in Franklin Co., MS. I have the marriage record. He was, however, born in Jefferson Co., IN., in 1818, son of Jesse L. Cope. Both his parents were dead by 1834. He left Indiana and went to Texas where he fought in the Texas Revolution. He then settled in Mississippi, living in Franklin, Jefferson and Adams Co., MS.
