I also found a John Potter, b. 17 OCT 1636, New Haven, CT m. Hannah Cooper in 1661 New Haven.childre: John and Hannah Potter. The name Potter/Pitman/Picknman came from Salem, Essex co. MA.It is spelled Potter in CT.. I think.

Their dau. Mary Elizabeth Osborn. b. 1 MAY 1824 in Poughkeepsie, NY
She m. John Gregory b. 29 APR 1822 Danbury, d. ? perhaps 28 SEP 1878 in a State Institution for the Insane. complications relating to HD.
Their son, Henry Peck Osborn, b.6 FEB 1826 in Danbury, CT;d. after Jul 1873 in Bridgeport. CT.He m, Sara Elizabeth Smith 29 May 1849 in Bridgeport.
I have photos of Mary Elizabeth Osborn and John Gregory abt the time of their marriage in Southport, CT.He has a scar on his chin from sliding down the hill there.It is probably flattened by now.
I know my ancestry goes back to Judah or John orElizabeth Gregory in the 1630s. Please help me if you can to learn about the Potter, Pickman Osborn, Crocker lines.There may have ties to a Stephen Townsend Gregory who . Eliza Fowler, b. 1802 in Hartford.Hope you can help~
