Darrell:

I have received the Stoever book. Disappointed, however, nothing is mentioned about our Michael.

According to the Stoever book,
John Koontz (Coons) b. March 26, 1739 (later to be Elder John Koontz.

George Koontz b. 1740-1747

Stoever writes in this book that it is not known whether or not there were other children as NO GREAT EFFORT has been expended to research this line beyond what was readily accessible.

This does not preclude that Michael was not a brother. It is just Stoever was researching the Rev. Johann Casper Stoever, Jr.'s line.

So many people has assumed that Michael was the son of Johannes Cutze and Stoever's sister and have recorded it on line. Someone has done that research and have come to that conclusion - I guess we will just have to keep looking.

Have the book on Elder John Koontz and it follows his children without regard to his siblings.

Also, I pulled something from LOV regarding a Capt./Lt. Joseph Bowman (Rev. War). I plan to research this because according to one of my e-mail investigations, Michael Counts, Coons, was in his infantry.

My line is Michael b. 1743, George b. 1762, Michael b. 1797, Henry A, Abraham Powers, Samuel, Arthur.

Sincerely Aleta Coons Rutka
