: WINNIFRED L. COONS, 78, OF LISBON, DIES
Winnifred L. Coons, 78, Lisbon, was pronounced dead at 10:10 a.m. Sunday
in A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fay G. Mann Funeral Home, Madrid. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Nevin Church of Lisbon.
Surviving are two sons, Charles, Lisbon, and Lloyd, Westminster, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Stan (Sandra) Matthie, Lisbon; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George (Lou) Baldwin, Prescott, Ontario.
Two brothers, Joseph and Norman Hunter, and two sisters, Mae Wylie and Gertrude Murphy, died before her.
Born in Kilrea, Ireland, on Jan. 24, 1916, a daughter of Joseph and Lucy Moore Hunter, she attended schools in Toyes Hill, Ontario. She married Clayton C. Coons on March 19, 1942, at United Church, Kingston, Ontario. He died Feb. 17, 1981.
Mr. and Mrs. Coons owned and operated a dairy farm in Winchester Springs and the Chipman area.
She was a member of Nevin Church.
