Coons sisters: Nellie, Minnie, Alice and Maggie

Seeking information on the parents of the Coons sisters.

I found them on the 1880 Bell County TX census.

The four girls were living in the W.J. and Eliza Venable household in Belton, TX. (Bell County) W.J. listed as Merchant.

Maggie = Margaret P. b 1864 in IL
Mary Alice b 1869 in LA
Minnie B. b 1878 in TX d 1965 in Temple TX (married to William Caswell - Bell county TX) (my line)
Nellie = Ellen Josephine b 1872 in AR

One of the sisters was married to a WARREN.

I guess the parents were traveling all over. The census lists the birth place of the parents as Alabama.

The relationship with the Venables is listed as other, so I don't think they are step-parents. Cousins maybe? Minnie was only two at this time. Did the parents leave, or were they orphaned?

I have a few photos of these sisters. I believe they all stayed in the Belton or Temple TX area throughout their lives - because they are always together in the photos.
