John came from Marion county, Ohio and Catherine was Canadian. John died during the Civil War at Davenport, Iowa. Catherine remarried an Elijah Jenkins in Illiois. John and Catherine had four children, Mariah Elizabeth, Hannah Ellen, Jacob Harvey and John William. The last I can find of them is on the 1870 census in Illinois. Does any one have any information?
