I may be a little more cautious since I'm not familiar with the family.

The ad indicates that the Conrods were taken about 7 yrs prior to 1765 which is, indeed, 1758. But there were several incursions on the South Branch by the Indians that year. There are varying accounts of how many captives were taken from Fort Seybert and no definitive list. It seems more likely than not that the Conrods were at Fort Seybert but,if I read it correctly, the ad alone does not prove that they were specifically either at Fort Seybert or taken on the date of the massacre.

Do you have additional information regarding Josephus, Ulrich Jr or Barbara?
