I am researching the Bailey line that was in Pickaway County, and have been corresponding with a gentleman who is researching Robert Bailey. He has documentation that indicates that Robert Bailey and Maria Coonrod came from Hampshire County, which later became Hardy County, and that they are mentioned in the will of a John Coonrod of Hardy County. The will was probated March 13, 1821.

My ancestor, John Bailey, enlisted in the War of 1812 from Moorefield, Hardy County. Hope this helps.
