I want to post this to Phyliss too, I am so excited, may I have possibly found a connection to my long lost family connections of which I have only heard the names?
Fisrt, my GG-Grandfather Woolley married in Ohio twice that I am aware. His son b. 1854 (in my partial family Bible)is said to be living with a Coonrod family by 1861 in NE. I would guess to learn a trade. Other siblings were living at home in 1880 but not all, and my GG-Grandmother was a widow living with her widowed Father at the time.
I have done some family tracing but have not been able to determine from anything I have read which Coonrod, etc AKA's with whom he was living.
Woolery could have also been the spelling of the surname, it was spelled many ways.
I wrote here as it is the most current date with hopes of making a connection. I know my G-Grandfather died in Ohio at the home of his son, my Grandfather. I know where he was originally buried but was moved with wife and other family as they had been buried outside the boundaries of the cemetery and the farmer made the request. Many of the family went to different locations. I found, with help and agrument, the place of burial someone else had was correct, he was moved there. It was personally checked and verified. Took awhile but with help of others it's true.
As I mentioned, I do know the name of my GG-Grandfather and his wife and her family, but I am not aware of my GG-Grandfather's family. There I have hit a brick wall. I can't find where he was born or died, just his marriages and children.
I would love to share information in hopes of making a connection.
